Light Project-Direct Light

This is a picture of the walkway outside of Tualatin High School next to the North parking lot. It is direct light because the light wasn't diffused by any clouds, the sun is to the left of the trees in the sky, and because hard, defined shadows are created by the light that's shining down.

Light Project-Silhouette

I took this picture of an elephant figurine with a candle behind it on the top of my mantle. It is a silhouette because the light source is behind the subject and makes the subject darker.

Tilt Shift Istanbul 2

I used phtoshop to create a tilt shift effect for this photo of the water in Istanbul. I couldn't decide which one I liked better , so I decided to post both. I blurred the background and foreground to create the effect.

Tilt Shift Football Field

This a picture of the football field at Tualatin High School. I blurred the foreground and background to make the people in Team Sports appear toy-like or fake.

Tilt-Shift Istanbul

I took this picture with a digital camera during the summer of 2011, while in Istanbul. I created the effect of a tilt-shift lens by blurring the foreground and the back ground. It gives the boat and first couple of houses a toy-like effect.

First Pictures

This is a picture of a light pink rose from my backyard. I tried to to capture the rose in the lower left hand corner to follow the rule of thirds.

This is a picture of a wooden swing, again in my backyard. It came out a bit lighter than it was supposed to, you can tell by the brightness of the tree on the left side. I captured the swing in the lower left hand corner but it still has the look of a straight on picture.

This is a picture of my friend on the bus. This is the picture after some brightness and contrast adjustment, but that still couldn't fix it completely.

This is a flower in my backyard. It originally turned out darker but i adjusted the brightness and contrast and turned out a little better. I was trying to get it in the corner more, although the center doesn't look too bad.

This is one of the first pictures I took with my camera. It is in the north parking lot outside the school and I like the effect it has of going down the pathway/road
